Job Summary

Our rapidly growing global company imports and exports a variety of products within the USMCA region as well as between North America, Asia, and Europe. We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for all elements of the purchasing and logistics processes for a selection of vendors/products such as inventory replenishment planning, purchase order placement, expediting, negotiation and sourcing. The scope of responsibilities will also include purchasing on behalf of other distribution locations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Plan material requirements and inventory replenishment from offshore and domestic suppliers
  • Negotiate the best terms for generating purchase orders
  • Administer urchase order contracts
  • Validate supplier PO acknowledgements and Proforma invoices
  • Supplier sourcing and negotiations
  • Supplier communications relating to pricing, quantity, quality and delivery issues
  • Process supplier returns of non-conforming products and surplus inventory
  • Expedite deliveries with suppliers, as needed, including the arrangement & tracking of air freight shipments
  • Coordinate with freight and customs brokers for shipping arrangement, customs brokerage and delivery
  • Analyze supplier quotes and the impact of price changes
  • Maintain accurate system records of supplier pricing, part numbers, shipment ETA
  • Administer all customs related matters, including establishing HS codes & maintaining its database, processing USMCA, certificate of origin requests and system maintenance, filing drawback claims and coordinating customs audits, as needed.
  • Other administrative duties within Purchasing and other departments, as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Completion of college program relevant educational study
  • Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong computer literacy, this role relies heavily on using Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in Spanish an asset
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs on an occasional basis
  • Able to walk around the office as needed
  • Ability to sit for an extended period of time at a desk
