Digital Graphic Designer

We are a national supplier of tool, equipment and safety product lines for the Canadian and US markets.  Our range of products include: abrasives, air tools, hand tools, material handling, lifting equipment and safety apparel and products. Our USA headquarters is in Elgin, Illinois, the Canadian location is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada with six branch offices located in the major cities across Canada.  We have an immediate opening for a Digital Graphic Designer at our Coquitlam, BC office.

This position will serve as both a Graphic Designer and Production Designer and the candidate will be tasked with the development of a wide variety of digital and print assets including web page creation, prepress production, and product packaging.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with an updated portfolio that includes examples of both print and digital projects.  This position will report to the Creative Services Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager to ensure that all digital designs align with the various brand standards while also meeting usability and/or website standards.  
• Create digital and print assets including landing pages, web ads, interactive PDFs banners, packaging, labels, social media and more.
• Design interactive online content including email templates, landing pages, and interactive PDFs.
• Design prepress print collateral including catalogs and brochures.
• Execute production of product packaging and labels 
• Ensures corporate branding and production standards are met on a consistent basis.
• Review product positioning and online marketing content to identify areas of improvement.
• Meet deadlines and can adapt quickly to changing priorities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, or a related field.
• 3 years of digital and print graphic design experience
• A portfolio of previous digital and graphic design work to showcase experience and creativity.
• Proven experience in a professional digital design role.
• Solid knowledge of design software programs such as InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sketch.
• Experience providing print ready files for the printer.
• Great attention to detail while having an open mind for creative exploration
• A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills
