WELDER/FITTER

About Us: Our company is in Toronto, ON is a service and repair facility that specializes in repair and maintenance of truck mounted loading/unloading equipment such as, articulating knuckle cranes, stick booms, truck mounted forklifts and sign trucks.

PAY STRUCTURE: 20-27 $/Hr (negotiable)

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Our companyis looking for responsible yet qualified applicants who will be required to perform various types of weld preparation, welding and weld finishing operations. Candidate must be able to operate fabrication equipment, positioning, aligning, fitting and welding parts for the formation of partial builds or complete builds using jigs, hand tools and welding torches. Must be able to maintain a clean and safe work space. Candidate will be working large trucks and truck mounted cranes, performing layout and welding tasks as part of a production team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Punctual, reliable, self-motivated
• Trade certification and/or currently registered in a related apprenticeship program
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions
• Must be experienced with MIG welding
• Mechanic experience an asset but not required
• CWB Certification an asset
