The Operations Manager will oversee all production operations 

 

The incumbent will lead and mentor the entire operations team to drive performance as well a focus on continuous improvement to contribute in the design and development of a successful operating model.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director, Operations to prepare a departmental budget
  • Prepare departmental costs and variances
  • Determine long and short-term operations strategies that are in line with company goals and objectives
  • Receive and organize work orders to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Coordinate schedule demands with production staff and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate production line activities to ensure conformance to establish requirements.
  • Responsible for the people and equipment performance (KPI’s).
  • Responsible for Redzone reporting accuracy and operations compliance in utilizing the platform.
  • Identifying, communicating, and driving continuous improvement efforts in the facility.
  • Ensuring excellent service rates through our ecommerce platforms.
  • Monitor raw material reorder points and initiate action to replenish stock.
  • Monitor and maintain current finished product inventory levels, process purchasing orders as required.
  • Work closely with Maintenance leadership to drive optimal availability levels in the plant.
  • Ensure the department is staffed according to production requirements.
  • Ensure health and safety is paramount within production and conduct regular safety audits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing staff within a production setting.
  • Food and beverage experience strongly preferred.
  • Management and mentoring skills.
  • Strong judgment and time management skills.
  • Verbal and written communications skills.
  • Team player
