CABINET MAKER
Our companyis currently looking to hire a Full-time Cabinet Maker to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate woodworking equipment, including both power and hand tools – must have good working knowledge on how to operate in a safe and effective manner
- Ability to read blueprints
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Knowledge of specialty finishes and different types of wood
- Ability to use a measuring tape to measure and mark outlines on material
- Cut, shape, form and trim material using woodworking equipment and hand tools
- Dry fit parts together, then assemble using required materials
- Apply plastic laminate and wood veneer using spray contact
- Sand wooden surfaces
- Install cabinet hardware
- utilize safe working procedures in all tasks, including the daily wear of all required PPE such as glasses, steel toe boots, masks, gloves, and hearing protection when required
- communication skills for working in a Team environment
- maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- conducting safe and regular maintenance on all equipment
- miscellaneous assignments/tasks appointed by Management
- submit job summaries daily of time spent on individual and group assignments
- adhere to Covid-19 protocols as currently outlined by the Government of Canada.
Requirements include:
- 5 years minimum cabinet making experience in high end residential and commercial millwork
- Reliable transportation to work / Punctual and reliable
- Ability to stay on task to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Steady 43-hour work week. Over time may be required to meet production needs
Wage/Salary:
- Highly competitive compensation. Rate/Salary will be determined based on skill, knowledge, and experience. Company-wide benefits plan coming in late 2021.
Current Covid-19 Protocols:
- All employees are required to wear masks when not able to maintain a distance of 6 feet from each other. This includes while on break, lunch or when in any of the common areas of the shop.
- All staff are required to perform a daily self-assessment and are asked to stay home if feeling any Covid-19 symptoms. If symptoms are present for Covid-19, we ask that an appointment be booked to have an official test taken. Results of the test must be reported to the manager on duty once the results are made available.
- Any staff members who cannot provide proof of double vaccination will be required to take a company provided Covid-19 Rapid Test, done on site, 2-3 times per work week.
- All commonly used shared equipment must be sanitized after each use by the individual user
- All personal workspaces are to be cleaned and sanitized frequently by the user
