Our company is a manufacturer of the highest quality laboratory casework for the university, college, research, government and healthcare laboratory environment, as well as, the K-12 institutional market segment; in the United States and Canada. Our company is a fast growing company looking for energetic and motivated individuals to join our team. To keep up with our growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager.



Responsibilities

  • Plan the successful delivery of projects with significant business risk or impact
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of all projects within the scope of the project manager, track progress, document milestones and ensure completion
  • Develop delivery approaches and project plans, timeframes and budgets
  • Work with all levels of the organization assisting in conflict resolution, issue management and needs assessment
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to prioritize requirements, set objectives, deliverables and ensure initiatives are on track
  • Ensure adherence to project management standards and practices
  • Lead the communication of information to all cross-functional groups and stakeholders at critical points
  • Ensure all deliverables are documented and timelines and objectives are achieved
  • Research new and creative methods to employ teams and to distribute responsibilities on projects
  • Attend meetings within Canada and U.S. as requested or required
  • Provide assistance and mentorship as required
  • Achieve budget goals set for projects and address and resolves any deficiencies or shortfalls
  • Conduct post-project review sessions and prepare information for improvements and enhancements

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education with three or more years of experience in a project management environment
  • Superior communication skills and interpersonal skills in dealing with a wide range of individuals
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural specifications and drawings
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel anywhere within North America (Canada and U.S.)
  • Cabinet construction knowledge and/or experience as an asset
