Our company's commitment to work together to improve each patient and resident’s overall health care experience through a strong, coordinated system of care. Each hospital remains a separate corporation with its own Board of Directors and Foundation. An integrated Senior Team leads the two Hospitals, as well as Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service which are operating divisions of AGH.  Over 600 caring staff, physicians and midwives provide excellent primary, acute and long term care to citizens of Lanark County, West Ottawa and Renfrew County.

Due to a retirement, the MRHA partners are seeking an exceptional leader for the role of Integrated Vice President, Human Resources (IVPHR). Reporting to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the IVPHR will have leadership experience and a broad systems perspective that support excellence in all aspects of human resource services across the MRHA’s four operating entities. The IVPHR is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of Human Resources management including labour relations/collective bargaining; coaching and mentoring the leadership teams in general employee relations issues; job evaluation and compensation; strategic work force planning; recruitment, engagement and retention; performance management; and employee recognition programs.   The portfolio includes Integrated Occupational Health & Safety as well as Volunteer Services

 

To be successful the IVPHR needs sound business acumen and excellent skills in communications, analysis, customer service, teamwork, relationship building, and interpersonal relations.  A senior leader who demonstrates our mission, vision and values, the IVPHR will work closely with the Boards of Directors’ Joint Human Resources Committee and represents the MRHA locally, regionally and provincially.

Key Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation or eligibility  
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of progressive senior-level experience in healthcare and/or a similarly complex unionized environment
  • Demonstrated success working collaboratively with or leading a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively managing change
  • Demonstrated understanding of current and emerging best practices and experience promoting compliance with professional and ethical practices, collective agreements, accreditation requirements and applicable legislation
  • Demonstrated fiscal responsibility
