Warehouse Associate – ON Branch

We are a  national supplier of tool, equipment, and safety product lines for the Canadian and US markets. Our range of products include abrasives, air tools, hand tools, material handling, lifting equipment, and safety apparel and products. Our USA headquarters is in Elgin, Illinois, the Canadian location is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada with six branch offices located in the major cities across Canada.

We are looking for a Warehouse Associate, who will be working at our Mississauga branch for five days a week from Monday to Friday. 

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload and move products by hand or with basic material handling equipment
  • Operate a variety of equipment to unload and load and move products
  • Weigh products, wrap goods and pack and unpack products
  • Process incoming requisitions which include picking, checking and packing orders
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices and other documents
  • Shipment of orders
  • Restock bins
  • Maintain and organize inventory
  • Use the inventory control system to locate information, search orders or investigate discrepancies
  • Clean warehouse constantly
  • Other general warehouse duty as required

Skills & Qualities:

  • Physically able to lift heavy shipments and products up to 50 lbs
  • Experience with operating industrial lift trucks, pallet jack, forklifts and order picker required – you don’t need to be currently certified but with experience as the role requires 50% operating lifting and picking machinery
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Significant use of memory
  • MS Office skills including ability to work and function in a computerized environment and inventory control system
  • Experience with a scan gun picking will be an asset
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Steel-toed safety boots required
  • One year of related experience required

 

As this role requires consistent attendance at our office and/or customer setting, the successful candidate must be fully vaccinated (i.e. have received all doses that are recommended by Health Canada, CDC or local European country (where the candidate will be working in), including any boosters and must provide our company with proof of vaccination.
