Description

Reporting directly to the VP, Corporate Services with indirectly reporting to the Chief of Staff, as a member of the administrative support team within the Administration department, the incumbent will provide wide-ranging support the hospital’s Professional Staff, and other administrative departments. Responsibilities for this position include coordinating committee meetings (eg. Medical Advisory Committee), transcribing committee documentation, typing correspondence, coordinating professional staff credentialing, administration of the electronic physician scheduling system, and acting as reception for the department.

This position requires a proactive individual able to plan, anticipate needs and take responsibility for resolving matters independently. The successful candidate will bring to this role a high level of professionalism, composure, diplomacy and flexibility and will operate effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Completion of post-secondary education at the college or university level in a complementary discipline
  • Proficiency in various software applications, specifically Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills
  • Excellent minute taking skills
  • Excellent written/oral communication
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Minimum 60 wpm keyboarding skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Demonstrated initiative to identify/recommend improvements, and willingness to assume projects as assigned
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing education and professional development
  • Ability to maintain composure and productivity in a fast-faced dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated reliable attendance record
