Roles and Responsibilities:

We are in need of certified Agriculture Equipment Mechanics (Service Technician).  Working independently, you perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on agricultural and turf equipment.  You work both in-field and in-shop requiring very little direction.  As an Agriculture Equipment Technician Journeyperson, you share your knowledge by mentoring others.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a certified trade such as Agriculture Equipment Technician, Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic or similar. May consider 3rd or 4th level apprentice.
  • Expert knowledge of John Deere agriculture equipment a very strong asset; Certification preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing diagnostics and service repairs
  • Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment
  • Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and Turf equipment
  • Computer skills required; Service Advisor an asset
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly and work seasonal extended hours and on weekends
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required; forklift license preferred
