Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you are responsible for in-process and finished product inspections to ensure product quality is being maintained.

 

Job Duties:

  • Operate test equipment, including the test track, to determine if component parts and/or the finished product function within company quality standards
  • May audit the work of production employees to ensure that they have followed engineering specifications
  • Inspect incoming fabricated parts when required to assure they meet company requirements
  • Receive information through the Corrective Action Request (CAR) process regarding customer complaints, conducts investigation, and completes report on cause/solution to the reported problem
  • Inspect purchased parts to ensure conformity to company specifications
  • Provide assistance to manufacturing personnel regarding quality problems.  This may include working with Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, or other involved departments
  • Inspect all finished equipment prior to shipment to ensure compliance to company specifications and procedures
  • Maintain records related to all aspects of quality operations
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
  • Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record
  • Comply with company rules, policies, and decisions
  • Perform the responsibilities of the position at a satisfactory level of efficiency
  • Required to use a Personal Computer (P.C.) intermittently
  • Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
  • May stand for prolonged periods of time
  • May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
