Job Summary:

As a Motor Control Technician, you will be responsible for the Motor Control Center build and purchase. Successful candidates will exercise good judgement, work effectively under pressure, and have proven experience with AutoCAD.

 

Job Duties:

  • Liaison between Sales/Customer to ensure MCC Panels are manufactured to specified requirements: Examines documents, such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data
  • Execute product changes
  • Quote MCC accordingly to customer requirements
  • Manage external vendors
  • Technical support to customers and install Team
  • May prepare reports and memorandums
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
  • Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

 

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary Diploma or associated 5 years technical experience
  • Must have 5 years Electrical/Electronics or automation experience
  • Proven experience with Inventor/AutoCAD or other CAD packages
  • Must have ability to interpret specifications, recommend design improvements, and execute process improvements
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, organizational, training, and PC skills are required
  • Minimum 5 years working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must work effectively under pressure, be highly motivated, exercise good judgment, and maintain confidentiality
  • Minimal travel required with limited notice to identify and assist with field equipment problems or other related engineering activities

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
  • Required to stand for prolonged periods
  • Intermittently lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
  • May perform duties requiring employee to intermittently bend and twist
