We are looking for Supply Planners to oversee inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers.  This role maintains capacity plans, production schedules and finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned categories. Maintains capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives. Responsibilities may also include inventory stock transfer/replenishment responsibilities
  • Develops a detailed understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations planned
  • Proactively identifies and communicates potential supply issues impacting the business with production facilities, Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Customer Service
  • Oversees inventory and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants and/or co-packers
  • Collaborates with Demand Planning and deployment to translate unconstrained forecasts to SKU-DC level supply plans
  • Schedules finished goods production for each assigned category. Supply recommendations are based upon scheduling parameters and system settings that are developed and maintained to support sales goals, inventory targets, as well as minimizing the age of product when shipped to a customer
  • Tracks plant/business performance (KPIs) to the established supply chain plan such as Case Fill Rate, Days of Supply, and Production Adherence
  • Manages and controls finished goods inventories for assigned items in order to achieve the company's financial targets along with utilizing obsolete and slow moving inventory reports to determine action required to initiate salvage sale or disposal of product
  • Analyzes long-term production capacity and develops/maintain capacity models showing planned production, projected inventory and projected capacity utilization and available capacity by period/month
  • Deploys finished goods inventories across the distribution network to support customer needs

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Undergraduate University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing), Business, Supply Chain or Math, Statistics, and Finance

  • Extensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities
  • The ability to interpret large amounts of data is required
  • Experience with supply planning software (SAP APO, Manugistics, etc.) is an asset
