We are your Maritimes' John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you.
We are looking for a dedicated person to fill the role of Junior Agricultural Sales Rep at our Summerside, PEI location.

Purpose:

Working closely with senior sales representatives and management in both our Ag and Turf lines, the Sales Apprentice will learn how to increase sales, cultivate, and develop client relationships, and generate maximum returns for themselves and the company.



Responsibilities:

As a Junior Agricultural Sales Rep you gain an understanding of:

  • All aspects of Green Diamond business (parts, sales, and service) through on the job training in each department
  • In-depth knowledge of our equipment lineup, primarily focusing on John Deere
  • John Deere's Precision Ag technology and how it benefits our customers
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Creating business from new and existing customer accounts
  • Successfully managing customer expectations
  • Nurturing new sales leads and developing leads into new clients
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by providing excellent support, information, and guidance
  • Ensuring follow up by delivering a timely response to all client inquiries
  • Contributing to a positive and motivating team atmosphere
  • Effectively presenting, promoting, and selling products
  • Providing clients with options on all available services to help them find the best solution for their applications
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining positive business and client relationships
  • Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Coordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments
  • Continuously improving through feedback
  • Assisting other team members with transactions when necessary

Requirements:

  • An interest in the agricultural, landscaping, or powersports industry
  • Highly motivated and driven to succeed
  • Sales driven, excels at finding and closing new opportunities and creating loyal relationship with customers through outstanding service
  • Ambitious and enthusiastic with strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and organizational skills, able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite
  • Professional business appearance
  • A punctual and friendly approach to the role.
  • Exceptional communication abilities and well-developed professional verbal and written skills
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, and be able travel (valid passport)
