POSITION: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (MRT(N))

DEPARTMENT: Diagnostic Imaging 

STATUS: FULL TIME

SALARY: $33.32 - $44.66

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for preparing, performing and documenting scans, images and tests as required, ensuring high quality tests, patient safety and appropriate use of radiopharmaceuticals, preventative maintenance and quality assurance duties as required.

The MRT(N) must have the knowledge, skills, and judgement to practice safely by adhering to provincial/federal legislation and guidelines, departmental protocols/policies, and manufacturers’ guidelines pertaining to health and safety

 

HOURS:

The successful candidate must be available to work all shifts applicable to the department.

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Nuclear Medicine
  • College of Medical Radiation Technologists NM designation required
  • CAMRT Registration preferred with CMRTO Registration required
  • IV Certification and ability to administer radiopharmaceuticals
  • Current BCLS Certification
  • TDG Training within the last three (3) years
  • Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Effective positive interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, and to critically problem-solve, and prioritize workload.
  • Demonstrated flexibility within roles and responsibilities with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in assignment throughout a shift.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
  • Acceptable performance record reflective of the Mission, Vision, Values
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
  • Excellent and dependable attendance record in accordance with STEGH’s Attendance at Work Program

Successful candidates must provide evidence of a fully completed COVID-19 vaccination status prior to your first day of work.
