About the Role

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on processing and packaging equipment, following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Accurately and efficiently record repairs and maintenance performed on work orders and share information with the team
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by notifying the inventory coordinator
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of a food plant
  • Adheres to all plant safety rules and procedures at all times

 

Requirements

  • Journeyman Certificate in the Millwright trade preferred but those with a journeyman certificate in a related field may also apply.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to understand and accurately complete EAM work orders as assigned.
  • Possess their own tools in order to perform maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Understand regulations regarding safety, quality, sanitary design, and GMPs in a food plant.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.

 

Wages

  • $38.32/hr
  • Premiums for Sundays and Nights

 

Schedule

  • Repack (Oct – June) Monday – Friday 8 hour shifts rotating Days, Afternoons and Nights
  • Freshpack (July – Oct) Option of 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights (i.e. 4 Days on 4 off, 3 Nights 3 off) or Straight 8’s 7 days on 2 off rotating days and nights

 

About Us:

We are a manufacturing facility that processes and packages frozen vegetables. We harvest peas and corn locally as well as package different frozen vegetables grown in different regions.
