Job Description:

• This position provides trades coverage to sawmills in the Prince George region.
• There will be opportunities to change to a different shift after 6 months of employment.
• Check equipment for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions so as to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
• Complete technical documentation.
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment.
• May attach components and adjust new equipment.

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician.
• Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification preferred.
• Apprentices may be considered and are invited to apply.
• A valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Dedication to safety.
• Must have own hand tools up to 1 ¼”.
