This client provides exceptional automatic solutions for the most challenging plastics joining, finishing, and assembly applications. They have assembled a talented team of mechanical and electrical designers, project managers, machine builders, millwrights, and electricians to work in a collaborative manner on our customers’ projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designing and controlling process systems using mathematical modeling
  • Designing and controlling kinematic models
  • Design and development of AI-driven machine monitoring solution
  • Set scientific and technical goals
  • Attend conferences and exhibitions to investigate new and emerging technologies
  • Define and develop the product strategy roadmap and product vision for Standard Products for plastic welding applications using Lasers and Galvo scanners.
  • Manage product development throughout the product life cycle, by gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure that the company’s overall strategy and goals are met.
  • Coordinate with the President, Production Mgmt, Eng, and Finance to ensure that the appropriate data is available and accurate and maintain the Products’ budget plan
  • Investigate process feasibility for the Quoting Team
  • Provide technical support for the Quoting Team and Engineering Team
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to the Sales, Project Management, and Engineering team
  • Confer with Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, and Controls Engineering to discuss project specifications and procedures
  • Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports
  • Direct and manage government funding opportunities for R&D tax credits – applications, audits, and reviews.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Graduate degree in engineering from an accredited university required
  • 3-4 years of experience required 
  • Knowledge of PLC programming
  • Good background in C#
  • Good background in Python and MATLAB programming
  • Good working knowledge of industry and engineering standards
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
