The Clinical Information Clerk is accountable to Morningstar Centre and Lake of the Woods District Hospital’s outpatient clinics (RAMM/MECCA) and supports the administrative function of the programs.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary certificate in office administration an asset
  • Must have Medical Terminology Certificate, or be willing to complete training
  • Minimum 1-year work experience in Reception or Administrative Assistance; experience in the healthcare field an asset
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the public both in person and by telephone
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective customer service skills
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Windows-based software including (but not limited to) Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Policy Tech and internet
  • Excellent keyboarding skills; minimum of 40 wpm
  • Reliable attendance record
