Job Description:

We are looking for a Facility & Maintenance Supervisor to manage maintenance in our facility. You will be responsible for preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work to staff and ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations.

The goal is to ensure that the production equipment is maintained, and the facility is always in good condition, with safety being of utmost importance.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Be “Hands on” with repairs by performing and assisting the team with work orders.
  • Supervise and execute maintenance as well as support activities 24/7.
  • Schedule, train, supervise and motivate employees for the maintenance department.
  • Participate in daily SCRUM meetings with manufacturing shop lead-hands to review work orders.
  • Create a formal work order system to track efficiency.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside vendors, contractors, and custodians.
  • Ensure efficient repair schedules and review repair cost estimates.
  • Control and monitor spares inventory.
  • Track machine downtime and recommend strategies to reduce.
  • Implement safety policies and procedures for the department.
  • Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, lead the team to deliver effectively.
  • Maintain accurate record of maintenance operations and present to upper management reports of daily activities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Industrial Millwright license (433A)
  • Experience in electronics
  • Previous supervising experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Contractor negotiation skills
  • Experience in performance management and budgeting

  • Injection molding maintenance background
  • CMMS software experience
