We are seeking Labourers (Assistant Operators) in Ottawa, ON to join one of North America's largest recycling management companies. As a labourer, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities, with no two days the same. Your duties will include digging holes and trenches, loading and unloading vehicles with equipment, and ensuring that work areas are secured and traffic control measures are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

-Operating equipment and tools
-Assist with emergency & spill response
-Pressure blasting & washing
-Removal & disposal of hazardous waste
-Remediation of contaminated areas
-Confined space, working at heights
-Digging holes and trenches
-Securing and safely loading/unloading vehicles with equipment and supplies
-Secure work area and set up traffic control
-Other duties as required.

Requirements:

-Professional and positive attitude
-Motivation to ensure timelines and expectations are met
-Strong regard for safety and safe work practices
-Minimum of two (2) years working and driving experience
-G class drivers’ licence with a clean abstract
-Accept change and be adaptable to different work environments
-Being part of an On-call rotation (every 3 weeks)
-Fall Protection/Working at Heights and Confined Space experience an asset
