We are currently seeking Journeyperson Millwrights with industrial experience to join our sawmill operations located on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.

Millwrights are required to safely perform quality work, provide support services, and perform preventative maintenance processes that pertain to optimum mechanical performance of our facility including, but not limited to:

 

We currently have vacancies at the following sawmills: 

  • Ladysmith, BC
  • Chemainus, BC  

 *$3000 Signing Bonus & Relocation Assistance Available*

 

These are hourly unionized positions with competitive wage rates from $44.72- $48.08/hour, benefits and pension. Shifts vary depending on site. Please inquire within to learn more.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repairs or replacements of mechanical components & machinery
  • Rigging and slinging  
  • Troubleshooting mechanical machinery  
  • Welding repairs   
  • Hot work and lock out protocols  
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent safety record and strong work ethic
  • Red Seal Certification preferred. Other Trades/Engineering Certification with proven mechanical maintenance and repair experience may be considered
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Accountable and dependable
