We focus on Residential and Commercial developments. We currently have multiple projects started, and we require more Carpenters. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of carpenters
  • Assign tasks and providing guidance to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Coordinate with superintendents to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Adhere to schedules and report any issues with timelines to the Superintendent.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction plans to execute carpentry tasks accurately.
  • Perform quality carpentry work. Includes framing, formwork, finish carpentry, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations on job sites, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor project progress, track materials, and equipment, and report updates to the superintendent.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, and other professionals to resolve technical issues and ensure project success.
  • Report poor performance of subcontractors to your superintendent.
  • Train and mentor new & junior carpenters, assisting in their skill development and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure accurate materials are delivered on time and secured on-site against damage or theft.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience as a carpenter
  • 10+ years of experience in residential/commercial construction
  • Journeyman or Apprentice Carpenter Certificate a strong asset
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Team player with the ability to lead by example.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, sketches, and construction plans.
  • Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
  • Solid understanding of construction codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Safety conscious.
