Job Duties
Note: This is a safety sensitive position
- Complete daily scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Assist and/or give direction to workers loading/unloading materials
- Verify loaded materials match sales invoices
- Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards or dunnage to protect product while in transport
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules
- This is a safety sensitive position
Qualifications
- Class B drivers license with minimum 6 months experience
- Must be able to back up trailers on tight job sites
- Able to produce a clean 5 year commercial abstract (CVOR)
- Knowledge, competency and ability to consistently practice Federal Load Securement and weight displacement regulations
- Professional attitude toward safety procedures
- Experience in the construction/roofing industry would be an asset
- Worker must be able to physically perform the job functions, which includes manually lifting up to 50 - 80+lbs consistently and 100lbs occasionally
- Integrity and reliability
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently while managing time and productivity
- DUI’s must be 5 years or older
- No more than 5 moving violations in the past 5 years
- No preventable accidents in the last 5 years
- Successful candidate may require a criminal clearance
