POSITION: HEALTH RECORDS CLERK
Clinton and Seaforth
Regular Part-Time
(Shifts: 4-8 hour shifts, Days only, Mon-Fri, may be subject to change)


POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for processing hard copy clinical records including reconciling visits, assembly, analysis and scanning. Duties may also include retrieval of hard copy charts and release of information

REPORTS TO: Manager, Patient Registration & Health Information

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $21.99 to $23.39 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Grade 12
- One year Medical Office Assistant certificate

Experience:
- One year of office experience in a Health Records department preferred.

Abilities:
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Good understanding of electronic health records/Meditech
- Basic understanding of record keeping principles and various filing systems
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met excellent understanding of privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understands customer service and their needs identifies opportunities for improvement and offers solutions
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and is self-directed
- Team player
- Flexible and adaptable
