Occupational Therapist – Psychiatry  Full- time

Lake of the Woods District Hospital, a fully accredited 71 bed hospital located on beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, ON, has an opening for a full-time Occupational Therapist position in inpatient adult Mental Health. As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will participate in the assessment and treatment of individuals admitted to the inpatient unit. Specifically, they will address an individual’s occupational performance as it relates to daily functioning and will develop/implement individual and group programming aimed at maximizing function in both current and potential environments. This position is required to provide support to the inpatient occupational therapy on an ad hoc basis to ensure patient care needs are met.  

 

Successful applicant will be a graduate of a Baccalaureate or Master’s program in Occupational Therapy, and will be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Knowledge of First Nations culture and traditions, and experience working with individuals who have serious mental illness are considered assets.

 

SALARY:  As per CUPE 3634 Collective Agreement
