POSITION: CYBERSECURITY ANALYST
Primary Site: Stratford
Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Cybersecurity Analyst is accountable for ensuring appropriate controls are in place for the security of HPHA’s information assets. This role safeguards information by ensuring that information system security risks are identified, assessed, reported and mitigated. Additionally, the Cybersecurity Analyst is charged with ensuring that HPHA complies with all information security regulatory requirements and internal policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. This position will continually foster a culture of cybersecurity competence and effectiveness for HPHA.

REPORTS TO: Director, Information Technology

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
- Security+, CISSP, CISM or similar certifications are considered a strong asset

EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years in a cybersecurity role
- Healthcare experience preferred

ABILITIES:
- Possesses strong customer focus – proven ability to understand customer/partner requirements and develop strategies and IT security solutions to meet these needs.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to self-start and work independently or as part of a multi-discipline team.
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally well-organized
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to ensure proper alignment with broader organization and enterprise strategies
- Continuous learner who is adaptable to new technologies and applications
- Possesses a positive attitude and demonstrates honesty and integrity in all endeavours
- Strong technical knowledge of servers, PC, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.
- Strong technical knowledge of network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Highly competent using tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project
- Knowledge and experience with:
   o Administering Information Security Software and Controls
   o Analyzing Security System Logs, Security Tools, and Data
   o Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Security Information Event Management (SIEM)
   o Cybersecurity best practice and Ontario privacy obligations such as ISO, NIST, SANS, PHIPA
   o Security vulnerability assessments on infrastructure and applications
   o Encryption Programs
   o Thorough understanding of fundamental security controls and network concepts (IPS/IDS, Firewall, WAF, Load Balancers)
   o Vulnerability and patch management, endpoint security, antivirus/malware
   o Threat assessments, vulnerability analysis, information gathering, correlating and reporting
   o Network and System Administration Experience
   o Producing Situational and Incident-Related Reports
