POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT II, District Stroke Centre
Primary Site: Stratford
Regular Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY: The Administrative Support II, District Stroke Centre, is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the proper flow of communication among team members and to assist in the efficient service delivery of the Stroke Prevention Clinic, the Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team and the District Stroke Centre.

REPORTS TO: Manager, District Stroke Centre and Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $23.13 to $24.50 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: - Minimum Grade 12 education
- Completion of a one-year medical office administration certificate

Experience: - Recent, related experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Previous experience in providing customer service to patients and internal and external partners.

Abilities: - Intermediate to expert level competence with Microsoft office and database applications.
- Good working knowledge of general office practice and procedures.
- Excellent customer service focus with direct client contact as well as internal and external partners.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, multi-task and to be flexible within the work day.
- Well developed verbal and written communications skills.
- Able to work independently and within an interprofessional team environment.
