At Bud Heaven, marketing is about understanding the licensed retail cannabis environment and the people within it — and building awareness about how our products/services can satisfy their needs. We’re looking for a seasoned marketing manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate has experience developing and executing both email and social media campaigns, and will be comfortable with day-to-day as well as long-term strategy, thriving with tight deadlines and changing needs of marketing in the cannabis industry. Objectives of this Role
- Establish and develop email and social media marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments, targeting various customers
- Drive the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
- Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
- Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting to extract key insights for future campaigns and go-to-market strategies, complete with proposals and recommendations on tactics
- Utilize email and performance marketing to design, test and evolve customer building tactics.
Responsibilities
- Working with the senior leaders in company, develop creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets
- Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the customer lifecycle, ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging across all channels
- Managing all communication on social media and inbound social media inquiries on all platforms(e,g. Facebook, Instagram & Twitter)
- Analyse customer purchases and create marketing communications on a direct to customer basis
- Manage content and updates for customer and internal touch points, participating in events, documenting business processes, and providing additional support
- Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
- Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize accordingly
- Present ideas and final deliverables to senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
- Managing and maintaining promotion calendar
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
- Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
- Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
- Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field is not required but would be considered a strong asset
- Proficiency with online marketing, email and social media strategy
- Proven experience using customer management applications and networking platforms
- Willingness to learn about the legal Cannabis industry
- Established press and media contacts in the Muskoka Region
- Knowledge of WordPress for adhoc changes to our website would be considered an asset
