Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an architectural cladding/façade Estimating Manager with AutoCAD and Revit experience to do estimates for commercial, institutional, and high-rise building structures.

COMPETENCIES

  • 5 - 10 years of experience as Estimator Manager/Lead Estimator leading a team of Estimators with a clear track record of successfully won projects
  • 5+ years of CNC machine experience with proficient knowledge in software, system troubleshooting
  • Contribute to project costing and profitability analysis by providing a breakdown of budget costs and scope of work
  • Experience in developing tools for improving accuracy and timeliness of estimating and cost tracking
  • Ability to perform a review of documents, specifications, and drawings in preparation of estimate
  • Be comfortable working with both internal and external clients, customers, and key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project interfaces, engineering management processes, and procedures is an asset.
  • Must be organized, confident, goal-oriented, and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be results-driven, and be effective working independently

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reviewing architectural drawings and project specifications to determine project scope
  • Managing and providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring in planning, organizing, coordinating, supervising, and training team of estimators
  • Provide a weekly update on all current and upcoming estimates and budgets
  • Preparing estimates of cladding requirements for new construction and retrofit projects
  • Revising and editing designs, while maintaining communications with clients for approvals
  • Preparing customer quotations based on the estimations
  • Be responsible for all aspects of the estimate and as the Estimating Manager take on more complex and detailed estimates and bids
  • Preparing materials, labor, and equipment cost estimations necessary to successfully carry out projects according to machining drawings, etc.
  • Responding to technical issues on CNC machines and collaborate with the development team to find technical solutions on issues
  • Collaborating with the relevant team in the preparation of project proposals, technical project materials
  • Attending technical and project coordination meetings to assemble project take-offs
  • Preparing proposals on RFP/RFQ regarding integration, equipment, and technology selection
  • Support development and engineering to assure timely and cost-effective resolution to regulatory, permitting, and technical issues associated with the execution and delivery
