Job duties:

• Oversee heating, plumbing, and renovation work in accordance with work orders and plans

• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning oil burners

• Assemble oil burner heating systems components and perform installation of oil-fired systems

• Test installed units and adjust controls for proper functioning

• Perform preventative maintenance work on motors, pumps, control devices, boilers, forced air furnaces, and oil-fired hot water tanks

• Completion of work order forms, detailing work performed and materials used, assisting in inventory, and stock control

• Be on the call-out team to handle emergencies

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of technical and trade experience

• Red Seal Certification or current Oil Heat System Technician license a strong asset

• Solid understanding of the current regulations within the field

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills on a technical level

• Ability to work as a team and independently

• Strong client focus with demonstrated ability to deliver excellent customer service

• Valid class 5 driver's license and good driving record
