Location: Oro-Medonte, ON

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Hours: Full Time

Job Description:

  • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Perform service work on existing equipment including teardowns and rebuilding
  • Assemble, fit, and install prefabricated parts to form sub-assemblies or finish products using hand and power tools
  • Install, align, dismantle, and remove mechanical equipment on vehicles, such as pumps, hoses, compressors, engines, tanks, according to layout plans using hand and power tools
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions


Job Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Industry courses in a mechanical trade (i.e. machinist, millwright, etc.)
  • Own tools and safety gear required to perform job


Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of work experience in a mechanical trade (i.e. assembler, machinist, millwright)
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Ability to operate various power tools to assemble, cut, sand components
  • Keen attention to detail and tidiness
  • Examine finished product to ensure it meets quality standards and is aesthetically correct
