We are looking for an HVAC Systems Estimator

The successful candidate would be required to prepare HVAC mechanical system estimates, including but not limited to the following duties:

• Read and understand contract documents, specifications and drawings for projects being tendered
• Use a computerized estimating system
• Do takeoff of materials
• Obtain pricing on materials, equipment and sub-trades required
• Prepare the tender form or letter
• Finalize and submit the tender
• Maintain a database of material and equipment suppliers and sub-trades
• Assisting the project manager in the initial ordering of equipment and sub-trades.

Requirements

• This job requires the individual to be self-motivated
• Having good problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• A solid understanding of the construction process and how projects are planned and run is an integral part of this position.
• Good communication skills are essential.
• Preference will be given to those with at least 2 years’ experience in estimating of mechanical systems.

Wage to be negotiated based on experience
