Information Technology Support

Purpose of Position:

Information Technology Support covers a wide range of IT Support duties including software, hardware and network support.  IT Support works closely with the Systems and Performance Management Team to ensure all staff are properly equipped, supported and trained in the use of information technology.

 

Key Job Functions:

  • Provide technical assistance and training to staff in the use of computer hardware and software
  • Respond to requests and questions; diagnose and resolve various equipment problems
  • Document reported troubles
  • Configure applications, system software, hardware and local peripherals
  • Monitor anti-virus and security measures and updates
  • Provide technical back up for network and systems
  • Build and maintain agency intranet and website
  • Identify and refer unresolved hardware and software problems to the Manager of Operations
  • Ability to travel within Northwestern Ontario to provide all our locations

 

Education/Experience/Skills/Knowledge Required:

  •  Computer related University or College degree/diploma or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of computer systems/programs
  • Experience with technical requirements of computer systems
  • Familiar with Microsoft Products and their administration, including Azure, Active Directory, SharePoint and InTune
  • Above average communication skills
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Fluency in French would be considered an asset
