POSITION: Grounds Crew

DEPARTMENT: Mountain Operations 

REPORTS TO: Mountain Operations Manager

STATUS OF POSITION: Seasonal

Position Summary

The Grounds Crew will be responsible for maintaining the Resort grounds to ensure they are safe, clean and presentable to the guests and employees. The Grounds Crew will perform all outdoor maintenance including property clean-up, snow removal and outdoor property enhancements. 

 

Operational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using snow removal equipment such as shovels and gas powered snow blowers to remove snow from walkways and entrances
  • Responsible for filling the outdoor fire pits and maintaining the stack of wood supply for easy access
  • Responsible for debris, garbage, and snow removal of walkways, patios, emergency exits and parking lots
  • Address guest questions, comments and concerns
  • Ensure you are working in conjunction with Health & Safety protocols and practices, and report any damages to equipment or injuries of staff to appropriate Manager immediately
  • Work with the outdoor Operations team on other duties as assigned

  • Energetic, outgoing with a positive attitude, driven to deliver elevated guest experiences
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Respond to special guest requests with a sense of urgency in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Guest-centric health & safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining a safe work environment

Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted G Driver’s license with a clean abstract
  • Two years’ experience in this or related field is required
  • Able to work days, weekends, early morning and evenings
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime
  • Must be comfortable working independently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
