Manitou Operator & Driver - DZ License Class

We have been in business for over 37 years, starting as specialty roofing provider for the luxury housing industry, and quickly transformed into a provider and installer of traditionally manufactured building products. Following this, becoming a specialist in heritage restoration was a natural progression. We have completed projects across our country, in the United States, and provided expertise in Europe.

We are looking for self-sufficient, motivated DZ Commercial Driver License to team up with our construction logistics team located in Mississauga at our Warehouse located at near Tomken and Derry Rd. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Load and unload materials with Manitou and or Moffett Forklift
  • Comply with company and government regulations and rules
  • Ensure load securement including the installation of corner boards to protect products while in transport
  • Match shipments to sales invoices
  • Use Samsara to ensure compliance, safety, efficiency and customer service
  • Operate truck safely
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Inspect vehicle daily as per Highway Traffic Act
  • Maintain clean equipment and monitor maintenance requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Class DZ with clean driver’s abstract
  • Preferably having at least 5 years of driving experience
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Manual Transmission experience is an asset
  • Knowledge and competency in flat deck load securement
  • Able to complete job tasks such as climbing ladders, pulling and throwing tarps, and lifting up to 100 lbs
  • Able to pass a Criminal Background check
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
