We are a "build-to-order" wood door manufacturing company that is based out of Port Coquitlam, specializing in the manufacturing of custom-made interior and exterior pre-hung wood door systems for high-end, custom homes.

 

About these various positions:
We are currently looking to hire in-shop woodworkers for many of our processing departments.

 

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Applicants must have woodworking experience.
  • Each candidate will be evaluated based on their individual experience and skill level.
  • Woodworking experience: 1 year (required)
  • Full-Time, 8 hour Shift. Monday - Friday.
  • Must be able to Commute to Port Coquitlam, BC V3C 1S5

 

Hiring for Multiple Positions:

  • LUMBER BREAKOUT AND WOOD COMPONENT PREPARATION
    This position entails cutting, ripping, planing, and gluing of wood parts from kiln dried rough lumber boards. The machinery used in this job function are: manual chop saw, jointer, thickness planer, band saw, table saw, hot press, clamp carrier.
  • WOODWORKING MACHINE OPERATORS:
    This position entails the making of wood component parts. The machinery used in this department are: shaper, moulder, single end tenoner, routers, thickness planer, jointer, band saw, wide belt sander, table saw.
  • IN-SHOP FINISH CARPENTER FOR BENCHWORK & JOINERY WORK:
    This bench-person position entails accurate router machiningof the door and frame, proper installation of the required hardware such as hinges, strike plates, thresholds, concealed closers and the assembly / fabrication of the various pre-hung door systems.
  • SANDING:
    This position entails hand sanding of wood doors and parts prior to the staining and finishing process
  • FURNITURE FINISHERS / REFINISHERS:
    Working in the paint shop area this position entails preparing products for finishing; sanding, masking, hand staining, spraying applied sealers and finishes

 

Compensation:

  • Our payrate for the listed positions will be based on the qualifications, skills, education, and work experience of the successful candidate.
  • For intermediate level of experience: pay ranges from $23.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on qualifications and experience).
  • Advanced through expert level of experience related to the company's specific area of work, the pay ranges from $27.00 and upwards (based on qualifications and skill).
