Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (or the “Act”) and the regulations; use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that  we require to be used or worn; report to the Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which the worker is aware and which may endanger themselves or another worker; and report to the Supervisor any contravention of the Act or the regulations or the existence of any hazard of which the worker is aware
  • Prepare electrical components for standard and custom products
  • Assemble electrical components for standard and custom products
  • Assemble electrical sub-assemblies
  • Install electrical sub-assemblies for standard and custom products
  • Apply problem solving skills to trouble-shoot advance electrical concerns
  • Verify if painted product meets quality standards
  • Select (when not specified) and install hardware and plumbing fixtures
  • Offer electrical solutions that meet our Customers’ expectations
  • Resolve electrical design issues
  • Select and order electrical components
  • Inspect and document standard and custom products for conformance to quality standards
  • Make minor/major adjustments and repairs with little supervision
  • Test connections with the appropriate test equipment. i.e. Hi pot testing to be performed to the same standard and ground continuity and plug polarity tests
  • Clean, wrap and prepare product for shipping
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 1 year of electrical experience
  • Able to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and data sheets
  • Able to work with power hand tools (i.e. cordless drill)
  • Able to use a tape measure
  • Able to do plumbing
  • Able to do electrical
  • Good math skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Physically fit for heavy lifting up to 35 lbs

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

 

Starting Salary: $22.80-$23.70 per hour (probation rate determined based on experience).

Wage increase to $24.26 after probation and to $25.54 at one year. Shift premiums + hiring bonus and profit sharing.

 

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift (straight shifts)
  • Days: Monday to Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
  • Afternoons: Monday-Friday: 3:00pm-11:30pm

  • Nights: Sunday evening-Friday morning: 10:00pm-6:30am

    **Must be flexible to work any shift**
