We are your Maritimes' John Deere Dealership with 15 locations to serve you.
We are looking for a dedicated person to fill the role of Forklift & Compact Construction Equipment Sales Rep at our Kentville, NS location.

Purpose:

Operating out of our Kentville location as a home base, this position will grow Green Diamond Equipment’s market share in the forklift and CCE segment in a designated AOR (Annapolis Valley, South Shore, Western Nova Scotia.)

Promote Clark lift trucks and other pallet handling equipment along with John Deere Compact Construction Equipment and service offerings including maintenance packages, annual inspections, etc. available through Green Diamond.


Responsibilities:

  • Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area/store
  • Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
  • Assists with the preparation and execution of all customer events including Aftermarket event
  • Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
  • Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
  • Maintains exceptional customer service
  • Works to achieve Annual Sales Goals
  • Work with parts and service departments to develop and promote forklift maintenance packages
  • Promotes service contracts to new and existing customers
  • Manage rental fleet and ensure all paperwork is in order and submitted in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • 2+ years forklift sales experience
  • Knowledge of forklift operation and uses
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, Accurate, and Articulate
  • Well developed organization and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
